~ Monogrammed wedding Ring bearer Pillow
A while ago I received a request from a Dutch woman. She read an article about my work in Ariadne at Home, Issue March 2012 (I will talk about that later !), and decided to send me an e-mail. She asked me If I could help her design and sew a ring pillow for her wedding held in July. I felt so proud and happy to be asked !
My work is pretty straight forward, mostly I use antique fabrics. Patience, accuracy, enough time, and of course a pile of Ideas is a must, and has to be in plenty too. But the most important thing about my job, is just to Listen.

This time I had to learn a whole new type of embroidering stitches also. But after a slow start and a couple of obstacles, I am quite happy with how it turned out in the end.
The cushion front is made with Antique French fabric. Cushion back is made with cream colored silk, it is double lined and filled with soft fluffy filling. But not too much, to prevent outwardly bulging fabric. I have tried to focus on the details of the pillow, the initials, the silk ribbon. To keep it simple but delicate.
Understandable I am a bit nervous and excited, how will it fit with her wedding dress? What about the colors and the surroundings.?
... I just hope she will have a Beautiful and Memorable day ...

O Aina, Wat onzettend mooi gemaakt! Ik borduur tot nu toe meestal kruissteekjes en stiksteken, maar dit lijkt me ook geweldig om te doen. De bruid-to-be zal zeker zeer blij zijn met dit prachtige kussentje!
